I’m not suggesting you shift focus from your newborn to your spouse. I am, however, offering a gentle reminder to keep life in balance. Enjoy your children (especially your newborn), but never forget they are born to have a life of their own.

Your job is to train and prepare them for that future. If you keep that in mind, you will live with purpose and continue to build a strong marriage in the process.
