It’s painful when you’ve been hurt by an unfaithful spouse.  The temptation is to refuse forgiveness and withhold love.  This never produces reconciliation.

We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.

How to Forgive When You Can’t Forget

Perhaps one of the most difficult parts of forgiveness is forgetting.

What if forgiveness is not about forgetting?  What if it’s more about simply letting go?

In this short video, Dal Dhaliwal discusses how forgiving and forgetting are not the same.

Wrapping It Up

Forgiveness is one of the most difficult ‘things’ to do in life.  But it’s also one of the most foundational expressions of really living.

We’ve all hurt someone.  And we’ve all been hurt.

Forgiveness is about the other person…

But it’s more about you (us).  It’s about letting them go so WE can be free.
